Lead Systems and Network Administrator

The Multiple, Malta (iGaming)
  • Built Azure development infrastructure with hub-and-spoke VNet peering and run hybrid connectivity across Google Cloud, Azure and Oracle Cloud.
  • Designed the Fortinet network estate and manage endpoints with Intune and Jamf.
  • Found and fixed all major security risks in the first month, including exposed vulnerabilities on the perimeter firewall WAN interface.
  • Support ISO/IEC 27001 audit preparation and lead and mentor the IT team.

Bank of Valletta, Malta (Banking)
  • Designed and optimised LAN, WAN and data centre networks with BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs and high-availability architectures.
  • Supported secure banking infrastructure, disaster recovery and complex incident resolution.
2023 to 2025

Senior Network Administrator

Central Bank of Malta (Banking)
  • Led the move from legacy E1 to SIP-based VoIP, enterprise network segmentation and the SAML SSL VPN migration.
  • Directed the CashSSP migration to ESCB CoreNet and delivered an Oracle Cloud payment services deployment.
  • Introduced central IP address management, an Azure cloud print solution and a modernised firewall architecture.
2020 to 2023

Network Operations Engineer

Speedcast Malta (Satellite communications)
  • Deployed satellite equipment, Mikrotik and Cisco networks and firewalls on Ku and Ka band links.
  • Installed iDirect, Newtec, Intellian and Cobham Sailor equipment on tankers, cruise ships, yachts and ferries, and managed SD-WAN across multiple ISPs.
2019 to 2020

IT Support and Systems Engineer

Valletta Gateway Terminals, Malta (Shipping)
  • Deployed Ubiquiti UNMS in the first month and managed Mikrotik routers, wireless links, endpoint security, CCTV and access control.

  • Deployed LAN, WAN and SAN equipment, Cisco networks, firewalls, VPNs and the PABX; managed a team of four.
